Chiefs FB Anthony Sherman drove Clint Bowyer’s NASCAR stock car to training camp

It’s every Kansas City Chiefs fan’s favorite day of the year: the day we get to see what fullback Anthony Sherman decided to wear to training camp.

As veterans report for Chiefs training camp all eyes will be on Sherman, their resident training camp fashionista. Each year, Sherman shows up wearing some dashing combination of clothing. In the past it’s ranged from overalls and boots to a leather vest and jean shorts. One year he even showed up in a full USA-themed jumpsuit with shoes and an American flag hat! Take a look at that outfit below:

So what did Sherman have planned for this year’s outfit? According to Chiefs wide receiver Gehrig Dieter, there was a rumor he was with former pro wrestler “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at a local sports bar. QB Patrick Mahomes suggested that Sherman was going to skydive into training camp.

As it turns out, those were simply rumors. Instead, Sherman showed up with a police escort in Clint Bowyer’s NASCAR racecar. Don’t believe it? Just watch:

He even wore custom Chiefs racing gear.

So why did Sherman choose to drive a NASCAR stock car to training camp? It’s simple really, he wants to be able to keep up with the rest of the high-powered Chiefs offense.

Next year he’ll have to arrive via helicopter or skydiving because there is literally no other way he could possibly one-up this entrance to training camp. You’ve outdone yourself, Sherman.
