Are the Kansas City Chiefs in line to win their fourth consecutive AFC West title? Vegas sportsbooks seem to believe that the Chiefs will win the AFC West for the fourth consecutive season in 2019.
Currently the Chiefs are on a historic consecutive streak with the AFC division. Before the 2017 season, the team had never won consecutive AFC West titles. A win in 2019 would mark the first time in NFL history that the Chiefs had won the AFC West four times in a row.
According to the opening NFL futures odds at both Oddshark and Bovada, the Chiefs are the current favorites to win the AFC West.

Now it’s not clear if Vegas is taking into account the situation surrounding Tyreek Hill in their odds, but you think that’d have to play some role at this point. A suspension from the league is practically expected for Hill, though, it’s unclear how long it might be for.
These odds show quite a bit of faith in Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes who is the NFL’s reigning MVP. The QB is still the most important position in football, and the Chiefs have the best one in the league right now.
Ahead of the 2018 season, faith wasn’t quite as high. The Chiefs were only second in AFC West title odds at +265 by the start of the season. The Chargers were opening favorites with +150 odds to win the AFC West division.
A lot of media types seem to be picking the Chargers over the Chiefs this year in their early power rankings. The sports betting industry isn’t following suit, but keep an eye on these odds as we get closer to the 2019 season. They could certainly change as we learn more about this Chiefs’ team during the offseason program.
