Chiefs fans are convinced that the Titans got away with an offsides on game-sealing block

Patrick Mahomes looked like himself in his return from a dislocated kneecap, throwing for 446 yards and three touchdowns. But that return to the field managed to get spoiled by … uh … Ryan Tannehill and Josh Kalu.

The Titans pulled off a late rally to beat the Chiefs, 35-32, on Sunday, but plenty of Chiefs fans think that the NFL missed an offsides penalty on the Titans’ game-sealing blocked field goal.

And, honestly, it’s close.

As the Chiefs lined up for a 52-yard field goal to force overtime, Kalu seemingly timed up the snap perfectly to get a left hand on Harrison Butker’s attempt.

But keep an eye on Kalu. He came awfully close to jumping that snap early.

Without question, Kalu was close to being off, but the broadcast didn’t air a replay from the sideline angle. There was even a (probably correct) argument to be made that Kalu simply timed his jump perfectly — as you can see below.

And don’t forget the Dots!

Tons of fans, though, were certain that the Chiefs were robbed of a second chance at forcing overtime.

Offsides or not, the Titans will take that result.
