Kansas City Chiefs CB L’Jarius Sneed has teamed up with Big Brother Big Sisters to get a little more involved in the Kansas City community this season.
In addition to becoming an official spokesperson for Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City, Sneed announced a new campaign called ‘Turn the Corner with L’Jarius Sneed.’ This fundraising effort is asking fans to pledge a donation for every turnover the Chiefs defense creates this season.
All donations will benefit the “L’Jarius Sneed Dreambuilders Fund” at Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City, which helps to remove financial barriers and open doors for children served by the program.
“The children of Kansas City are our future. They’re the next generation of game-changers, trailblazers, and difference makers. But right now, there are still hundreds of them in our community that don’t have a positive adult mentor to help clear the path to their biggest possible future. This season, I’m committed to doing something about it. I’m L’Jarius Sneed, cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs. Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City serves over 1,200 children in the Greater Kansas City community. They currently have over 200 children on a waitlist looking for their Big. ‘Turn the Corner with L’Jarius Sneed’ has already reached the halfway point for the current campaign goal. Fans who pledge a certain amount will be rewarded with signed gear from Sneed.
