Chiefs CB L’Jarius Sneed being evaluated for a concussion

The Kansas City Chiefs are having some injury issues as we approach the end of the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills.

Rookie cornerback L’Jarius Sneed has been an absolute stud this evening for the Chiefs, but he likely won’t be available for the remainder of the game. After a great play in coverage by Sneed and DB Juan Thornhill, Sneed was shaken up on the play. His head hit the turf hard on the play and he was dazed and unable to pop up to his feet right away.

The team announced that Sneed is being evaluated for a concussion.

If he doesn’t return, Sneed will have finished the game with five total tackles a sack and a number of pressures. He’s also done a great job in coverage allowing few catches on the night. Thankfully, Rashad Fenton has been able to step in and play well in Sneed’s absence, notching a game-changing interception on a tipped pass.
