Free agency is finally starting to wind down with eyes towards the 2019 NFL draft. There are still several free agents out there and available, but it’s clear that teams are focused on adding players through the draft which occurs at the end of the month.
As of Friday, April 5th the Chiefs have signed seven players since the start of free agency. On top of that they’ve made the decision to retain one of their own. They’ve traded with the Browns to acquire another player. They’ve also released, traded away, and let several unrestricted free agents leave to join other teams.
