Chickens kicked to death at Leeds primary school in 'mindless act of cruelty'

A school in south Leeds has reported an incident to police in which a number of people are believed to have climbed over a fence onto school grounds and then kicked several chickens to death.

The appalling act happened on Sunday night at Middleton Primary School right at the start of the long summer holiday.

It is believed that up to six people were involved.

A spokesperson for Middleton Primary School told LeedsLive: "We are obviously extremely shocked by such a mindless act of cruelty.

"The matter has been reported to the police."

The RSPCA were not aware of the incident, but reminded people to visit their website to report cruelty against animals. An initial post was shared on leedsplace.
