There’s no debate to be had: Chicagoans love dogs.

You can’t walk down the street without seeing multiple pooches being walked by their owners, and there’s a reason for that: the city is one of the most dog-friendly in the country, with hundreds of restaurants and shops where dogs are welcome.

But which breed is Chicago’s favorite?

Rover.com, a website that helps dog owners find walkers and sitters for their furry friends, analyzed data from over half a million pet owners throughout the country to determine which breeds are the most popular.

Here are Chicagoan’s favorite dog breeds:

1. Goldendoodle

2. Beagle

3. American Pit Bull Terrier

4. Shih Tzu

5. French Bulldog

Nationally, the most popular dogs were mixed breed followed by Labrador Retrievers, Chihuahuas, Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds.
