The Chicago Bears will face the New Orleans Saints for the second straight season. Although the hope is certainly that the result is different than last year, where Chicago’s offense was an abysmal mess.
The Bears are coming off a brutal 24-10 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, which magnified their offensive deficiencies. The offense managed just a field goal and were outscored by the defense, 7-3. And their critics are certainly justified after that poor showing.
Meanwhile, the Saints are coming off a 27-24 win over divisional rivals the Carolina Panthers, which has them sitting at second place in the NFC South. They’re looking to keep pace with divisional leaders the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which they have a chance to do against the Bears.
The Saints have no shortage of talent that they’ll be leaning on in Sunday’s matchup, including quarterback Drew Brees, running back Alvin Kamara and receiver Michael Thomas.
