The Chicago Bears have another early-season divisional showdown that has a must-win feeling to it.
Chicago will host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, and there’s a lot on the line in this Week 4 contest.
Both the Bears (2-1) and Vikings (2-1) lost to the Packers this season, which means that this game carries a little more weight. Chicago doesn’t want to fall in a 0-2 division hole, even this early in the season.
The Vikings are coming off a 34-14 thrashing of the Oakland Raiders, where RB Dalvin Cook recorded his third consecutive 100-yard rushing game. A big focal point in stopping the Vikings offense is to contain Cook and Minnesota’s run game, which also features rookie Alexander Mattison.
Minnesota’s defense isn’t something you want to mess with, which means the Bears offense will need to establish a balance and rhythm early on. The Vikings are allowing just 15.7 points per game, and they have some stud players that are determined to stop QB Mitch Trubisky and the offense before they can establish a rhythm.
