Sept. 30--An appeals court panel upheld a federal judge's ruling that the NCAA "is not above antitrust laws" but still will allow it to limit athletes' compensation. So even if it isn't above antitrust law, the college sports cartel can keep running around it.

Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner has offered tax breaks to ConAgra, whose CEO lives in Winnetka, to relocate its headquarters from Omaha to Chicago. It's part of this state's campaign to subsidize companies for doing things they want to do anyway.

This NFL Players Association deal with DraftKings would have seemed unlikely not long ago. Seriously? How is it possible for there to be more fantasy ads?

The Center for Nonverbal Studies, a private nonprofit research enterprise dedicated to the study of human communication in all forms apart from language, opened 18 years ago Thursday in Spokane, Wash. But that goes without saying.
