Aug. 10--Kraft's Vegemite, the yeasty paste Australians claim to enjoy on toast, may be restricted by legislators there because it's being co-opted to make booze in dry Aboriginal communities. This isn't going down well with some down under. Even people who can stomach Vegemite apparently have limits.

North Korea, rebelling against the time-zone designation Japan gave it long ago, will establish its own time zone by moving its clocks back a half-hour Saturday. Prison sentences will be adjusted accordingly.

Bill Murray reportedly has agreed to appear in the 2016 "Ghostbusters" reboot with Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth. This signals Murray's wholehearted endorsement of the project, though "project" may mean "paycheck."

U.S. air traffic controllers, a just-reported 2011 study found, aren't getting enough sleep. And now neither will anyone else.

The Beatles, on the eve of launching their final concert tour, met the media at Chicago's Astor Tower Hotel 49 years ago Tuesday, hoping to defuse the "more popular than Jesus" controversy.
