Oct. 05--Striking Air France workers upset by a plan to slash 2,900 jobs by 2017 stormed headquarters. The protest got ugly when it became clear management would not comply with signs, placards or crew member instructions.

Air France executives fled with clothing ripped or torn off, and guards had to help the deputy director for human resources and labor relations escape over a fence. So if the demonstration saved any positions, they're probably in headquarters security.

Around 30 percent of teenagers have ended a relationship or had a relationship ended via text message, according to a Pew Research Center study. Older generations bemoan this callous departure from their own genteel courtship rituals, such as not returning phone calls.
