Chicago Tribune Nina Metz column

May 04--Snubfest, the annual event featuring sketch comedy, stand-up, storytelling and solo performances rejected by other festivals, returns in June with "Saturday Night Live" alum Tim Kazurinsky and current "Weekend Update" writer Katie Rich on the schedule.

Each act entered into Snubest performs in front of a panel of judges, one of which will be Kazurinsky. Rich, who has been a writer on "SNL" since 2013, will perform rejected "Weekend Update" jokes.

Past performers in the fest (now in its 10th year) include "Silicon Valley's" T.J. Miller, "Orange is the New Black's" Lauren Lapkus and stand-up Cameron Esposito.

Snubfest shows will take place at both Zanies and Under the Gun Theater, June 22-26.
