Sept. 22--Allison Tolman, who was Emmy-nominated last year for her role in the FX TV series "Fargo," has been added to the cast of a Will Ferrell/Amy Poehler comedy that is currently filming in Los Angeles.

According to Deadline, "the film is about parents who accidentally spend the money set aside for their daughter's college tuition. Desperate, they open an underground casino and recruit their friends and neighbors to help run it." Tolman will play their financial adviser. (Originally called "The House," the movie's title is up in the air.)

A former Chicago theater actor, Tolman notably got her break in television while working locally as a temp and auditioning for "Fargo" by video. She can also be seen in Joel Edgerton's psychological thriller "The Gift."
