Chicago Tribune Nina Metz column

May 10--Cecily Strong will star opposite Jessica Chastain in "Plus One," a comedy about a single woman (Chastain) who can no longer count on her close friends to go out at night, since they are all married or engaged, and instead finds herself hitting the town with a new pal (Strong) who is loud and uninhibited.

According to Deadline, the film is being produced by Gloria Sanchez Productions, which is an arm of Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions that focuses on women-led film and TV projects.

Strong, who is from Oak Park and sharpened her comedy chops at Second City and iO Theater before landing at "Saturday Night Live" in 2012, also co-stars in the upcoming "Ghostbusters" reboot, which opens July 15.
