Aug. 10--Singer Cecile McLorin Salvant and saxophonist and MacArthur Fellowship winner Miguel Zenon will play the 2015-16 Jazz at the Logan season, presented at the University of Chicago's Logan Center for the Arts.

Salvant will kick off the series on Oct. 23. The Billy Childs Quintet with Becca Stevens, Alicia Olatuja and the Spektral Quartet will play Nov. 5. Warren Wolf Wolfpack will perform Feb. 12, 2016. Dion Parson and the 21st Century Band will play April 29.

Zenon will spend a three-night residency in Chicago. He'll perform a free concert with Chicago musicians at the Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center, 4046 W. Armitage Ave., May 24. He'll participate in a free listening session, presented in partnership with the Hyde Park Jazz Festival, May 25 at the Logan Center Performance Penthouse. And he'll lead his quartet and big band in his "Identities are Changeable" project, May 26 in the Logan Performance Hall.

In addition, a Chicago Stage at the Logan -- presented in partnership with the non-profit Jazz Institute of Chicago -- will feature local jazz musicians in pre-concert performances in Caf頌ogan, with Black Diamond performing Oct. 23; Irvin Pierce, Feb. 12; Twin Talk, April 29; and Quentin Coaxum, May 26.
