Jan. 23--Most of the year's major tributes have yet to be announced, but this is the lineup to date:
Bob Dylan: "Shadows in the Night": Dylan's Sinatra tribute album will be released next month.
"Sinatra: An American Icon": Billed as the official exhibition of the 2015 Frank Sinatra Centennial, the show will feature private correspondence, photos, concert footage and other keepsakes of Sinatra's career. After its run at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center from March 4 through Sept. 4, the exhibit will move to the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles and on to other American cities. The New York Public Library run also will feature film screenings and related events.
"Sinatra: All or Nothing at All": Alex Gibney and Frank Marshall are crafting a multipart documentary for HBO featuring previously unreleased footage provided by the Sinatra family, according to the filmmakers. Gibney directed "Mr. Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown" for the HBO cable service.
"His Way -- Sinatra's Centennial Celebration": Chicago singer Ron Hawking, who has made a career of interpreting Sinatra, sings the classics. 8 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg; $40-$42; 847-895-3600 or prairiecenter.org.
