Although the program is not yet set, an illustrious array of guest speakers are expected, especially from the worlds of theater and comedy, reflective of Patinkin's singular influence.

The sponsors of the event are the three institutions in Chicago most associated with Patinkin over the past decades: Columbia College Chicago, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, and The Second City.

Patinkin died on Sept. 21 at the age of 79. A telephone line has been set up for RSVPs for the free event: (312) 369-6333.
