Nov. 05--The Broadway-bound show "First Wives Club The Musical" has announced who will play its leading trio of spurned spouses: Faith Prince, Christine Sherrill and Carmen Cusack.

Penned by Linda Bloodworth and featuring a (partly original) score by the famed Motown team known as Holland-Dozier-Holland, "First Wives Club" is set to try out in Chicago in February at the Oriental Theatre and then head to Broadway. Simon Phillips directs.

Prince, Sherrill and Cusack will play roles originated on film by (respectively) Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton.

Although the Tony Award-winning Prince is the big name of the trio, the casting represents an especially big break for Sherrill, a longtime Chicago actress who will be making her Broadway debut.
