It won’t be long before Nashvillians can sink their teeth into fried Amish chicken and sip a frozen negroni on an outdoor patio at Parson’s Chicken & Fish.

The popular Chicago eatery and bar plans to make its Nashville debut next month at 425 Chestnut St. in Wedgewood-Houston.

Land and Sea Dept. first announced its plans to expand the concept to Music City in early 2017. The company’s other properties include the award-winning Cherry Circle Room, Michelin-starred Longman & Eagle, and the James Beard-nominated Tiki bar Lost Lake.

Similarly, Parson’s Chicken & Fish has raked in its own accolades, including being named one of Chicago’s best new restaurants by Bon Appetit.

The restaurant’s first outpost opened in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood in 2013, and the second location opened in 2018 in Lincoln Park. The Nashville restaurant is Land and Sea Dept.’s first foray outside the Windy City.

The fried Amish chicken is just one reason Parson’s Chicken & Fish restaurant was named one of Chicago’s best new restaurants by Bon Appetit.

The beverage program at the Nashville restaurant will include beers, cocktails and slushies, including the super-popular “Original Negroni Slushy.”

The food menu will feature comfort food classics and seasonal specials, including Parson’s signature chicken and fish, in addition to salads, a vegetable club sandwich and ceviche.

The restaurant will have a large, pet-friendly outdoor patio with games, lots of shade and fans. The indoor restaurant and bar will offer seating for up to 200 guests.

Land and Sea Dept. teamed up with Nashville’s architecture and interior design studio DAAD to overhaul the Chestnut Street space at the May Hosiery redevelopment.

Parson’s Chicken & Fish Nashville will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.
