Chicago Restaurant Week reservations now open

Dec. 16--Chicago Restaurant Week, a 14-day promotion of budget-friendly lunches and dinners at most of Chicago's top restaurants, will take place Jan. 30 through Feb. 12. But reservations for participating restaurants are available starting today.

For those who came in late, participating CRW restaurants offer three-course lunches for $22 and three- or four-course dinners for $33 and $44. For many restaurants, this represents a significant savings over regular prices. And often there are promotional prices on beverages as well.

More than 250 restaurants in the city and suburbs have signed up for CRW 2015; among the first-time players are Acanto, Bottlefork, Fig Olive, Gibsons Bar Steakhouse, Mariano's (offering in-store "lunch for two" options), Moto and The Duck Inn.

Producing organization Choose Chicago will go live with online reservations at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Why reserve now? Because some restaurants, such as Naha, will be booked solid by the time late January rolls around.

You'll find a complete list of participating restaurants (searchable by neighborhood) at eatitupchicago.com, where you can make online reservations. Keep visiting, as new restaurants will be added periodically.

You can still make reservations for the First Bites Bash kickoff event, a chef-filled evening taking place Jan. 29 in Union Station's Great Hall. Find information, and purchase tickets, at firstbitesbash.com.
