A 30-year-old Chicago man was found fatally shot Sunday morning in Griffith, Indiana.
About 5 a.m., officers received an anonymous call saying a man was lying in the street in the 1900 block of Park West Boulevard, Griffith police said. Upon arrival, they found the man lying between a parking lot and an apartment building with multiple gunshot wounds.
The man, later identified as Preston Billings, of Austin, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation by Griffith police.
