There’s a very fun Catholic League crossover tonight. An experienced and currently undefeated Loyola (4-0) is on the road at Leo (1-2). The Lions will pose a real threat to the Ramblers, thanks to big man Kendale Anderson, guard Kevin Drumgoole and Orr transfer Terrance Ford.
Mike Clark will be there covering it for the Sun-Times.
William Nelson’s young Farragut team, which lost to Young on Monday, has another major test tonight at Orr. The Spartans picked up a win down in Danville last night and Demarius Splunge had 17 points, 15 rebounds and four steals. No word on how many of Orr’s transfers have been ruled eligible yet. Reggie Strong (St. Joseph), Bryce Hall (Orr) and Norvell Meadows (Prosser) are all expected to be major contributors for the Spartans.
The Battle of Tinley Park has a little extra juice this season thanks to AJ Casey’s transfer. The Titans are 3-1 to start the season and Andrew is (3-2). The other big game in the south suburbs tonight is Oak Forest (4-0) at Rich East (2-2). The Bengals are just outside the Super 25 but their schedule so far has not been challenging.
