June 16--Get your appetites in gear: More than two dozen Chicago chefs, including Jimmy Bannos Jr., Jessica Oloroso, Jared Wentworth, Christine Cikowski and Joshua Kulp, have been added to the culinary lineup at the first annual Chicago Food + Wine Festival on Aug. 29 and 30 in Lincoln Park.
The newest additions to the schedule will be cooking and handing out bites as part of the Grand Tasting + Chef Showcase, where festivalgoers can pair samples with a selection of wines and spirits on offer.

Out of breath yet? This lineup joins the dozen-plus already-announced chefs (including Jonathan Waxman, Ludo Lefebvre, Tim Love, Rick Bayless, Stephanie Izard and Graham Elliot) presenting food demonstrations (but no sampling) at the festival, which is spearheaded by Food Wine magazine and C3 Presents.
Food fanatics can also gear up for Tasting Sessions, a series of small, interactive panels and tastings with details to be announced later this summer. The festival also features a Feast Under the Stars (Aug. 28 in Lincoln Park), a Toast and Taste (Aug. 29 in Grant Park) and an evening event, Last Call (Aug. 29), with a location yet to be announced.
