Relief engineer Nathaniel Ervin was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the morning of May 24 in Beverly Hills, California.

A Chicago firefighter was killed May 24 in a car crash in Beverly Hills, California, according to a Chicago Fire Department post on Twitter.

Nathaniel Ervin, a relief engineer for the First District, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. He joined the Chicago Fire Department in 2004, according to the post.
