Chhattisgarh: 40,000 cases shortlisted for National lok adalat

RAIPUR: Around 40,000 cases have been shortlisted for the National Lok Adalat to be organised in Chhattisgarh on August 13. The National Lok Adalat will be organised on a large scale simultaneously at district courts of Raipur and Gariaband, and civil and revenue courts of tehsils of Devbhog, Tilda, Rajim as per the annual calendar of National Legal Services Authority (NLSA) New Delhi.

Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority (CSLSA) executive president and HC justice Goutam Bhaduri held a review meeting with the officials concerned of the aforesaid districts and tehsils through video conferencing. Justice Bhaduri instructed all the officials present in the meeting to ensure justice for people coming to the lok adalats.

Meanwhile, preparations were in full swing for the National Lok Adalat under the supervision of District Legal Services Authority president and district judge, Santosh Sharma. Wheelchairs and mobile vans have also been arranged for the differently-abled people coming to lok adalat.

Cases pertaining to motor accident, rent control, cheque bounce, excise law, civil, traffic, family court, electricity, telecom, municipal corporation, water tax, property tax, labor court, crime, civil, revenue etc. will be heard in the National Lok Adalat.
