BHOPAL: The Chhatarpur police managed to crack a robbery case within just 12 hours and apprehend the culprits.

The robbers, who were identified to be a group of young local college students, had fled with cash and material worth over Rs 1.48 crores, including a motorcycle and gold and silver jewellery that were seized during the crime.

According to Lalit Shakyawar, DIG Chhatarpur, their teams left no stone unturned in showcasing their deftness in dealing with cases of robbery. The incident occurred when three unidentified boys entered Omprakash Purohit's house with a knife and took his daughter at gunpoint. The robbers tied up the family and fled with their cash and jewellery, along with the motorcycle, he told TOI.

The Naogaon police station promptly initiated an investigation upon receiving the complaint. Superintendent of Police, Amit Sandhi, reached the site and called in cyber, FSL, and finger scanning teams to zero in on the culprits. Dog squads were called in, and special teams were formed under the guidance of ASP Shri Vikram Singh and SDOP Naugaon.

The police managed to apprehend four of the accused by activating the informer system and conducting raids across various locations. They also managed to recover the stolen property. However, the police remain steadfast in their efforts to apprehend the remaining culprits under the guidance of IG Pramod Verma and DIG Lalit Shakyawar.
