Chet Hanks is at it again, this time drawing ridicule for declaring a “white boy summer” in 2021.
The son of Hollywood star Tom Hanks shared a video on Instagram asking if his followers could “vibe” with his idea.
“Okay guys, look I just wanted to tap in really quick,” he said. “I just got this feeling, man, that this summer is about to be a white boy summer, you know? Take it how you want.”
The aspiring rapper continued: “I’m not talking about Trump, you know, NASCAR type white. I’m talking about me, Jon B, Jack Harlow type white boy summer. Let me know if you guys can vibe with that and get ready, because I am.”
It is unclear if Chet was being serious.
Tom Hanks trended on Twitter as a result of his son’s post, as one person commented: “Chet Hanks is proof that you can do everything right in the world and kids will still embarrass tf outta you.”

In another tweet that received more than 44,000 likes, a person wrote: “I physically can not imagine Chet Hanks and Tom Hanks talking to each other.”
Writer Trey Smith commented: “Chet Hanks is exactly what suburban parents in 2007 thought would happen to their children if they let them listen to like half a lil wayne song.”
“I will never stop screaming,” another person said, sharing the video.
Chet Hanks, who is 30 years old, has previously come under criticism for speaking on several occasions in Patois, later doubling down when called out for it.
In December last year, he appeared in a Clubhouse discussion in which he defended speaking in a Jamaican accent, claiming it was no different to if he mimicked an English one.
“Guys, it’s really as simple as this. If I get on a binge where I’m watching a bunch of English gangster movies and I’m going around my day-to-day just ordering a coffee at Starbucks with my friend and I go [in English accent]: ‘Oi, gimme a latte governor’, it’s not coming from a place where I go I’m going to s**t on these English people,” he said.
