Chester Zoo is live-streaming its fourth virtual tour today after thousands of fans tuned in over the past few weeks to get up close to the animals from the comfort of their own homes.
Virtual visitors get the chance to see their favourite creatures as the keepers give a tour from inside the zoo, which has been closed because of the coronavirus lockdown.
After attracting thousands of viewers on Facebook and YouTube, the zoo is giving fans another chance to see their amazing animals once again.
Announcing the news on Facebook, the team at Chester Zoo said: “We're back! Join the ORIGINAL LIVE Virtual Zoo Day for its FOURTH instalment…
“As you can't come to the zoo right now, we’re once again opening our ‘virtual gates’ and bringing the UK’s number one zoo to you!
“Join us LIVE on our Facebook and YouTube pages from 10am for a WHOLE DAY of amazing animal antics, packed full of fantastic facts… it’s the PERFECT way to learn, all from the comfort of your own sofa!”
Today, keepers will be visiting various animals across the site throughout the day, and while the running order may change here are the latest timings:
10.00 – 10.20 - Asian short-clawed otters
11.00 – 11.20 - Fantastic fossa
12.00 – 12.20 - Songbirds from South East Asia
13.00 – 13.20 - Really cool reptiles
14.00 – 14.20 - Elephant herd pool party (weather permitting)
15.00 – 15.20 - Amazing aardvarks
