Chester Zoo live cam streaming another virtual tour today

Chester Zoo is live-streaming a second virtual tour today after thousands of fans tuned in last week to get up close to the animals from the comfort of their own living room.

Virtual visitors got to see their favourite creatures as the keepers gave us a tour from inside the zoo, which has been closed because of the coronavirus lockdown.

After attracting thousands of viewers on Facebook and YouTube, the zoo has decided to give families another chance to see their amazing animals once more.

Chester Zoo wrote on its Facebook event page: "A little birdie told us you quite enjoyed your last virtual trip to the zoo.

"So, as you're not able to come and see us in person right now, we're once again bringing the zoo to you.

"Join us LIVE on our Facebook or YouTube pages from 10am when we'll be throwing open our 'virtual gates.' Enjoy a whole day of animal antics, live from your sofa."

Get daily tips on how to survive lockdown with your family, from toddlers prone to temper tantrums, to teenagers struggling to adapt to the abrupt closure of schools and separation from their friends - we’ve got it covered. We’re with you. Sign up here.

Today, keepers will be visiting various animals across the site at various times and the running order may change, plus there will be more surprises throughout the day. Here are the latest timings:
