Chester Zoo confirms it is bringing back its Lanterns and this is when

Chester Zoo’s magical lantern event is returning later this year, just in time for Christmas .

The enchanting festive event will take over the zoo once again this November, transforming the site into a winter wonderland.

The Great Christmas Expedition will see guests discover exotic, illuminated wildlife and animal characters in nine different fantastical worlds.

The hugely popular event will include everything from traditional festive scenes to colourful animal-inspired illuminations.

The new route will take guests through new worlds that will ignite their imaginations.

Amongst the magical worlds are Underwater, where visitors will need to dodge the jellyfish before coming face to face with a huge octopus.

Tropical Dreams, which will be the centrepiece of the show, will also be on display, along with Night Sky Adventure, where visitors will travel through the clouds and stars.

The Lanterns return to Chester Zoo from Friday, November 22, to Monday, December 23.

Tickets start from £5.50 per child and £10.50 per adult.
