The Wicket Gate pub, in Chester-le-Street, is reopening on Tuesday following an extensive refurbishment project costing £1.65m.
The pub, in Front Street, has undergone a complete refurbishment and now includes a swanky roof terrace.
There is a new bar, in a new location, a larger kitchen with an open gantry, refurbished furniture and new fixed seating.
New bi-folding windows have also been installed to the front of the pub.
On the first floor, brand new ladies and gents customer toilets have been built and a new roof terrace has been added.
The roof terrace has a canopy, new loose fixed seating, for outdoor dining and drinking, as well as new planting throughout.
The Wicket Gate has also been converted into a Wetherspoon (not Lloyds) pub, so is now a music-free venue.
It will be open from 8am until 12 midnight Sunday to Thursday and 8am until 1am on Friday and Saturday.
Food will be served throughout the day, from opening until 11pm, every day.
The Beer Garden opening times are Monday - Sunday 9am - 9pm.
Pub manager Mike Graveson said: “Wetherspoon has spent £1.65m on the pub, providing further huge investment into the town.
“Myself and my team are looking forward to welcoming customers back into The Wicket Gate and we are confident that they will be impressed by the refurbishment of the building and new-look roof terrace.”
