Plenty of families flocked there as soon as the sun comes out and fingers crossed we'll see many more warm and sunny days in the region so many more can enjoy Chester-le-Street Splash Pad.
The popular attraction at Riverside Park drew loads of visitors last summer and is doing exactly the same in 2019.
Durham County Council recognises the park’s attraction to people from right around the region and made a significant investment into the new Splash Pad which replaced the ageing pool that used to be there.
And the reaction from the public has been hugely positive, with the attraction particularly becoming a must for North East families when the weather is nice.
When is the Splash Pad open?
It re-opened for this year at the end of April so you can go right now!
Last year it was open until mid-September.
What are the opening times?
Throughout the summer holidays it is open daily from 10am- 6pm.
Is there an entry charge?
No, but the Splash Pad proved extremely popular last year, so much so that a free ticketing system was introduced and will be again in operation in the school holidays and busy periods.
