Theme Park Chessington World of Adventures has announced the return of Roar and Explore - it's special fundraising event to help protect the future of nature and wildlife through conservation work and education.
Taking place from 6pm to 9pm on Friday July 2, it is raising cash for the Chessington Conservation Fund (CCF) which backs important projects within the local community and worldwide.
After closing its gates for the day, Chessington re-opens for an evening of fun activities including select rides and attractions.
Brave explorers can plunge 25m on a thrilling drop tower into the giant jaws of a crocodile on the new Croc Drop ride, before trekking through Rainforest aboard River Rafts, Treetop Hoppers and Jungle Rangers.
Explore the zoo and encounter lions, tigers, gorillas and more. Dive into the Sea Life aquarium and enjoy some other awesome rides such as the off-road sunset experience on ZUFARI: Ride Into Africa, the Adventure Tree Carousel and Tiger Rock.
Roar and Explore is a pre-book only event - get tickets now for just £12 each (under 3s go free), with all ticket proceeds going directly to CCF.
Since launching in 2011, CCF has donated over £350,000 to protect wildlife in places like Ecuador and Zimbabwe. These include protection projects with The World Land Trust, Dambari Wildlife Trust, Limbe Wildlife Trust, and of course, supporting our own local wildlife with Surrey Wildlife Trust.
The Chessington World of Adventures resort contains more than 40 rides and attractions; a zoo with more than 1,000 animals, plus a Sea Life aquarium. There is accommodation in two themed hotels and explorer glamping.
