Cheshire Oaks has completely closed during coronavirus lockdown

Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet has completely closed as coronavirus lockdown continues across the UK.

On Monday, March 23 Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered people to stay in their homes and that all stores selling non-essential items, including clothing and electronics shops, to close their doors.

The UK’s largest designer outlet, which opened in 1995, is home to more than 150 shops, restaurants and cafes, including Hugo Boss, Ben Sherman, Cadbury’s and Cath Kidston.

A banner across the top of the Cheshire Oaks’ website confirmed that the shopping complex is closed; it read: “Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, we note the latest announcement from the British Government that all shops selling non-essential goods shall close from March 24, 2020 for an initial period of three weeks.

“Based on this announcement, we anticipate all retail stores in the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Centre to be closed from March 24, 2020 for that period.

“Needless to say that these continue to be challenging times for people across the globe and we sincerely hope that you and your families stay well.”

The shopping complex is expected to be closed until the government lifts restrictions on shops.
