A firearm incident in Cheshire turned out to be a man in fancy dress with a fake gun.
Police received reports of a man possibly carrying a firearm on his back on St John Street in Chester at around 4pm on Tuesday, August 17.
Cheshire Live reports that local officers, along with the firearms unit, rushed to the scene.

But police found that the man was carrying an imitation firearm, which was part of a fancy dress costume.
The man had worn the costume to a party that evening.
Cheshire Police said the imitation item was subsequently seized and the man was given 'words of advice'.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Shortly before 4pm on Tuesday 17 August police received a report of a man, possibly carrying a firearm on his back, on St John Street, Chester.
"Local officers, assisted by the firearms unit, swiftly attended the scene, located the man and it was found that he was carrying an imitation firearm which was part of a costume worn at a party.
"The imitation item was seized by officers and the man was given words of advice."
It comes just days after Cheshire Police were called to investigate reports of a body floating in a pond - only to find it was a dummy dressed in a onesie.
Two officers were called out to the incident off the Congleton Bypass on Sunday.
But when the PCSOs arrived, they found a mannequin with long dark hair floating in the water on a lifebuoy, wearing a blue costume from the sci-fi film Avatar.
