Cheryl's extreme weight-loss methods - half-litre of celery juice and working out until collapse

Cheryl Tweedy has revealed the extreme health measure she takes to stay in shape - and be warned: it's not for everyone.

The 35-year-old mum of one recently staged her career comeback, having taken some time out of the limelight to focus on raising little son Bear - who she shares with ex Liam Payne.

But while her new music hasn't been received with quite the same gusto as her earlier solo stuff, there's no doubt Cheryl's banging body is hotter than ever.

Speaking to Dermot O'Leary on his Radio 2 show this morning, Cheryl revealed what it took to get her back in front of the cameras - and admitted she's turned to celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson for help.

"It's a workout system where she thinks you should use your tiny muscles rather than your major ones as a woman to lean you rather than bulk you," she revealed.

"She uses the heat to tone your skin. It's not hotbox yoga, you sweat - it's the same temperature as hot yoga but its a different method. It's muscular and then cardio."

And it's not just in the gym where Cheryl's killing it - she's also been taking tips from Instagram health guru Anthony William to tone up in the kitchen, too.

" The celery juice is very recent for me . It's not my favourite vegetable to be honest, but it's doable. So somebody said I should follow this guy on Instagram, he was getting so many testimonials - he's called the Medical Medium - and he thinks you should drink 16oz (half a litre) of celery juice on an empty stomach in the morning before you have anything else, and it's healing for your organs," she said.

Dermot - who used to work with Cheryl on The X Factor - asked if she ever used some of the more bonkers weight-loss methods, like downing hot water mixed with lemon and chili first thing in the morning.

"Or apple cider vinegar," Cheryl joked. "Oh my god, coffee - please, coffee. For me it's consistency, I used to do things once or twice and forget about it. You've got to do it for a few months before you see results."

Dermot then admitted it was Cheryl who got him to change the way he hits the gym from when they were on X Factor together.

"You taught me a great method when we worked together, I can't go to a gym and just walk around and try out some weights and stuff - that's my idea of hell - you work out for an hour, almost until you pass out, and I'm exactly the same now," he told her.

"I'm quite extreme," she said demurely.

"I'm permanently tired. My bum is still sore from a workout I did on Wednesday!" he joked.

"You'll have a peachy bum-bum," Cheryl winked.

The Let You singer also opened up about her plans to tour again, saying she'd only do one if that's what her fans wanted.

"There's more people that have to come on the road with you, but that's nice," she mentioned.

"If I was to tour again, it would probably be the best one I'd done. I have to see if people are engaging in the music first before I make that decision. I might do intimate, private gigs first to dip my toe back in.

"I would obviously put on a big to-do," she added.
