Cheryl's brother pictured living in dirty tent surrounded by bottles of urine and beer

Cheryl's older brother Andrew Tweedy has been been pictured living in a tent surrounded by bottles of urine and beer.

41-year-old Tweedy is seen at his blue pop up tent, relying on an instant barbecue to cook meals and begging strangers for money.

His humble living situation is worlds away from that of pop star sister Cheryl, who lives in a £3.7million Hertfordshire mansion with a networth estimated to be around £35million.

Andrew said he no longer speaks to his family members including sister Cheryl who he admits 'probably has no idea' he is homeless.

"With the family I've got, I shouldn't be here," said Andrew.

Speaking to The Sun, Andrew explained: "This is what I’m f***ing living like. I’ve been begging here for more than three months and it’s something that has really broken my heart.

"I’ve got so much f***ing pride. With the family I’ve got, I shouldn’t be here. It’s horrible.

"None of them have contacted me. Even though Cheryl’s not helping me, she’s still my family. She probably won’t even know I’m on the streets, I don’t blame her at all. This is the lowest I’ve ever been."

Andrew said he became homeless after his relationship broke down earlier this year.

The older brother of Girls Aloud star Cheryl has appeared in court more than 50 times in his life.

He was involved in a robbery at the age of 13 and put into a Young Offender institution in 1996.

In 2005 he was sentenced for four years over the mugging of a teenager, a crime over which he skipped bail and went on the run for five weeks.

After saying he's 'hit rock bottom' over his current living situation, Andrew said he's now awaiting on temporary accommodation with his local council looking to finding a 'solution.'

Andrew has previously opened up about his sister Cheryl's attempts to help him.

Speaking to the Mirror from prison in 2008, he said: "Cheryl wants to help me - but I'm too far gone. I know I'm breaking her heart, but I'm not strong enough to sort myself out.

"It tears me up to think I'm causing my little sister so much pain. I've told Cheryl she should be ashamed of me, but she says she loves me and she'll never give up on me."

Andrew said the Promise This singer came to visit him in prison when he was serving time for robbery.

"She came on her own. She looked so sad and so tired, totally different to how she looks on TV or singing on stage... It broke my heart to see her so cut up," he admitted.

Cheryl is one of five children altogether.

She has older brothers Joseph and Andrew, older sister Gillian and younger brother Gary with whom she grew up on a housing estate in Newcastle with mum Joan Callaghan and dad Gary Tweedy.

Cheryl previously said when she was 11 she found out her parents had never been married, despite all five children taking the Tweedy name.

She also learned that her father Gary was not the biological father to three of her siblings, which had been a family secret.

"Andrew was going so berserk that he looked like a crazy person. But however mad he looked, this was sounding horribly realistic,” revealed Cheryl.

“Mam spoke softly ‘I was 21 when we met, me and your dad’. I already had Joe, and you two,’ she looked at Gillian and Andrew now, but not at me.”

Cheryl shares a very close bond with her mum Joan, who is believed to live with her at her Herfordshire mansion along with son Bear.

Mirror Online has contacted Cheryl's representatives for comment.
