Cheryl lands role in Sky Cinema film Four Kids and It as pushy music agent

Cheryl has landed a role in a new film which is being released onto Sky Cinema and NOWTV this weekend.

The Geordie star, who last appeared on the big screen as talent show judge in 2012's What To Expect When You're Expecting, alongside Cameron Diaz and now Greatest Dancer co-star Matthew Morrison, plays a pushy music agent in Four Kids and It.

In a clip seen by ChronicleLive, former X Factor judge Cheryl is seen looking after new pop superstar Smash as she prepares for the biggest gig of her life at London's O2 Arena.

Her character is seen telling Smash's siblings: "Of course none of this is a surprise to me. I knew she had it the moment I first saw her."

Cheryl fuming after old age prediction

Turning her attention to Smash and giving her instructions on what to do and say, Cheryl's new on-screen alias says: "The new video has 2 billion views. Smash you are the hottest act on the planet...

"OK nice, let's go talk to the media. Don't forget to talk about your fragrance. This is forever Smash."

Four Kids and It, adapted from the book of the same name by Jacqueline Wilson, revolves around a group of children finding a creature called Psammead (voiced by Sir Michael Caine) on a beach.

It sounds very similar to Five Children and It, a classic novel by E. Nesbit first published in 1902.
