Cheryl 'keeps watching X Factor performance back' after fans brand Love Made Me Do It performance 'painful'

Cheryl reportedly “watched her X Factor performance back 10 times” after she was slammed by fans who branded her comeback “painful”.

The Geordie singer commanded the stage on Sunday night's results show with new track Love Made Me Do It, but viewers were less than impressed with her raunchy moves and distracting vocal .

Cheryl is said to be struggling to “understand” why she attracted so many “haters” and reportedly feels like “some people are always against her”.

A source told The Sun: “Cheryl’s devastated over the harsh comments about her performance.

“She always says that ‘haters’ come with fame and she expects some negativity, but she didn’t expect this reaction. She goes on social media to interact with her fans and it actually shocked her.

“At first she was angry – she watched the performance back over ten times and can’t understand what she did wrong.”

They added that Cheryl felt that she “couldn’t change the minds of some people always against her” no matter what she did.

The former Girls Aloud singer sparked a backlash on Sunday night as viewers hit out at her “painful” performance, slamming her dance moves for being too sexualised before the watershed.

But the 35-year-old will have another chance to win people over when she performs on the Graham Norton Show at the end of this month.

Cheryl is slated to appear on the chat show on November 30 alongside Michael B Jordan, Ruth Wilson and Dawn French.

Standard Online has contacted representatives for Cheryl for comment.
