Cheryl hints she's DELAYING second comeback single with cryptic post

Cheryl has hinted that she's delaying the release of her second comeback single.

The former Girls Aloud star came back with her first single in four years, Love Made Me Do It, late last year.

And in January, she revealed that her next single would be a bit more uptempo and would land around March.

But now, she seems to be suggesting that we won't hear it until May.

Taking to Instagram , she said: "When she says March-ish but might have meant May .. (if you know you know)"

Cheryl posted the caption alongside a sexy snap of herself in a camouflage T-shirt.

Her fans were upset by the thought of having to wait so long for her next song, but glad to get an update.

One said: "How did we know sis at least we got an update you’re gonna slay"

"At least it’s not 'soon'," another said.

And one posted: "fuming She said March-ish for the next single (call my name vibes)"

Cheryl's Love Made Me Do It was met with a mixed response, as was her raunchy performance of it on X Factor , when she licked her hand and writhed around the stage in a black leotard.

Simon Cowell even joked that he thought she'd died when she collapsed in a heap as the song ended.

The song was Cheryl's lowest-charting lead single ever, coming in at No19, and within two weeks it had fallen out of the UK Top 40.

Mirror Online has contacted Cheryl's representatives for comment.
