Cheryl fans are convinced new track Let You could be her 'next number one' as singer teases latest release

Cheryl fans are convinced that the singer has a major new hit on her hands after she shared a sneak preview of her latest track Let Me.

Cheryl uploaded a brief clip from her new music video to Instagram, in which she and a group of backing dancers wearing neon outfits jump in the air.

She captioned the post: “Let you… coming FRIDAY!”

The 35-year-old has since shared a short audio extract from the forthcoming track alongside a photo of herself wearing a black dress and fuzzy green coat, covered with bold splashes of colour.

She also posted some lyrics which read: “Let you put your hands on my body.. Every time! I gave you what you wanted.. But when am I gonna get mine???”

Cheryl’s fans were thrilled to hear her latest musical endeavour, predicting that the “summer tune” would soon be “on repeat.”

“If this isn’t going to be your next number one, I don’t know what will,” one hopeful follower suggested.

“I can already tell it’s gonna be on repeat. 6th number 1 here we come,” another agreed.

“Are you ready for your 6th number 1 Chez? That is where this song is going!!” a third said.

Others revealed that they were counting down the days until the track’s Friday release, with one fan writing: “I was NOT ready for that. Friday can’t come quick enough!”

The singer became the first British female solo artist to land five number one singles in 2014. She has previously hit the top spot with I Don’t Care (2014), Crazy Stupid Love (2014), Call My Name (2012), Promise This (2010) and Fight For This Love (2009).

Cheryl also achieved four number ones as part of Girls Aloud.

Her most recent track Love Made Me Do It was released in November 2018, peaking at number 19 before dropping to number 48 a week later.
