Cheryl and Oti Mabuse sparkle as they reunite for The Greatest Dancer launch

Cheryl and Oti Mabuse shone in sequins at the launch of the second series of The Greatest Dancer.

The two stars, who are dance captains on the BBC show, brought a touch of sparkle to the launch event at London’s Soho Hotel on Monday morning, where they posed on the red carpet with presenter Alesha Dixon.

Cheryl wore a shimmering silver jumpsuit while Strictly Come Dancing professional Mabuse chose a long-sleeved green dress with floral embellishments.

Dixon, who recently welcomed her second child, wore a blazer-style minidress in houndstooth print with exaggerated puffed sleeves, paired with dramatic jewellery.

Cheryl and Mabuse were joined by fellow dance captain Matthew Morrison and singer and choreographer Todrick Hall, a new addition to the show’s line-up for 2020.

Hall, who co-produced the video for his friend Taylor Swift’s single You Need To Calm Down earlier this year, appeared to already be one of the gang, giving Cheryl a kiss on the cheek on the red carpet.

Dixon’s co-presenter Jordan Banjo was also present for the photocall, along with Love Island finalist Curtis Pritchard.

The reality star, who was formerly a professional dancer on the Irish edition of Dancing With The Stars, will be the show’s receptionist, welcoming contestants to the studio before their auditions.

14-year-old Ellie Ferguson, who was mentored by Mabuse, was crowned winner of The Greatest Dancer’s first series earlier this year.

Ferguson, who wowed viewers with her solo contemporary routines, won a £50,000 prize and appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in November.

The Greatest Dancer returns to BBC One in 2020.
