Sarah Harding’s Girls Aloud bandmates are among those sending their love to the singer after she revealed she was fighting advanced breast cancer.
The 38-year-old returned to social media for the first time in over a year to announce she was battling the disease, which had spread to other parts to her body.
Moments after the news broke on Twitter, Cheryl posted a broken-hearted emoji – her first tweet in three months.
Elsewhere, former I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Nadine Coyle said on Instagram: “I love you! You have always been able to achieve miracles when needed! I am here for the all the way and always will be!”
Other celebrities were also quick to send their love to the star.
Steps singer Ian ‘H’ Watkins wrote: “Sending huge love. Stay strong. We’re all behind you.”
Piers Morgan added: “So terribly sorry to hear this Sarah. Wish you all the best with your treatment."
Former TOWIE star Jess Wright posted a string of heart emojis.
Harding revealed her ongoing battle in an emotional Twitter statement, which prompted an outpouring of love from fans.
“There’s no easy way to say this and actually it doesn’t even feel real writing this, but here goes,” she explained. “Earlier this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and a couple of weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer has advanced to other parts of my body.
“I’m currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions and I am fighting as hard as I possibly can. I understand this might be shocking to read on social media and that really isn’t my intention."
She then added she wanted to thank her family, close friends and “hero NHS doctors” for treating and supporting her.
“I am doing my very best to keep positive and will keep you updated here with how I’m getting on,” Harding said.
“In the meantime I hope you’ll all understand and respect my request for privacy during this difficult time.”
