Jingle Bell Ball 2018: Cheryl and Liam Payne will BOTH perform at Capital concert

Cheryl will make her return to a packed-out arena stage to perform at the same event as her ex-Liam Payne.

The two will narrowly avoid performing on the same day at this year's Capital Jingle Bell Ball.

Cheryl is set to delight a sure-to-be sold-out crowd at the festive event, hosted by Capital FM, on Sunday December 9, a day after Payne will take to the stage at London's O2 Arena.

Payne’s Saturday set falls on the same day as Rita Ora, who he collaborated with on For You, with the pair sparking controversy earlier this year after enjoying a raunchy performance on The Tonight Show.

Cheryl and Payne, who share one-year-old son Bear, confirmed their split earlier this year after weeks of speculation. They had been dating since 2016.

Anne-Marie, Olly Murs and Ellie Goulding are also among Saturday’s names while Jason Derulo, Jess Glynne and Zara Larsson are appearing on Sunday.

News of Cheryl’s live performance came as she dropped a short teaser video on Instagram ahead of the release of her first single in four years.

Cheryl shared the black and white footage on Instagram alongside the caption: “#LoveMadeMeDoIt 09.11.2018.”

The short teaser marks her return to the social media site after deleting everything and unfollowing everyone last weekend.

Fans are already beside themselves with excitement, with many struggling to “cope” ahead of Friday's big reveal.
