Cher accuses people of using Britney Spears as 'cash cow' in conservatorship row

Britney Spears needs people to Believe in her right now... and who better than fellow pop legend Cher?

The 74-year-old dancefloor queen has waded into Brit’s legal wrangle over control of her finances.

And she isn’t holding back – accusing people of treating the Toxic star like a “cash cow”.

Cher blasts online: “She worked hard, was the golden goose, made lots of $$, got sick, now she’s the CASH COW. Does anyone who’s making off her being sick want her well?”

She ends with three duck emojis and asks: “Is it a duck?”

The Turn Back Time singer is being thanked by fans who started the #FreeBritney movement to “rescue” the star from the control of her family.

US courts have put Britney, 38, under a “conservatorship” to safeguard her.

Since 2008, when she was put in a psychiatric unit, her wealth, earnings, daily routine and medical welfare have been controlled by her father Jamie Spears and lawyer Andrew Wallet.

BRITNEY SPEARS THANKS FANS FOR THEIR SUPPORT AS SHE LOSES CONSERVATORSHIP BATTLE

Until last year, every decision Britney made, from voting to marriage, needed the approval of her father, who also controlled all her purchases.

In March this year, Wallet resigned and Jamie took a backseat, allowing Britney’s care manager, Jodi Montgomery, to take over.

Britney has unsuccessfully asked the court to release her from her conservatorship.

Fans are so worried they even study Britney’s Instagram photos for hidden pleas for help.

This month, it was revealed Britney’s sister Jamie Lynn, a trustee of the singer’s estate for two years, has taken control of her care until 2021.

Cher has previously shown concern over Britney, questioning why she is allowed to work when she is considered legally unfit to run her own finances.

In January, Cher asked: “Why is a woman being worked if it’s known she’s not well enough to care for herself?”

A Cher-Britney collaboration needs to be the next move.
