Chemical product recalled over concerns it resembles lemonade

The Office for Product Safety and Standards is recalling a product after concerns that a chemical product resembled lemonade. Due to the Actas Food Grade Acetic Acid being packaged in a clear plastic 330ml bottle with a blue and rainbow label, the office is recalling the product because it resembles a small drinks bottle.

The product was found to present a serious chemical risk to the public due to the resemblance to a soft drink, as it may mislead consumers or children. An individual who drank the product has sustained sever injuries.

The product has since been recalled from all end users. In a tweet alerting people to the recall, Nottinghamshire County Council stated: "This product has been recalled due to the serious chemical risk it poses because the packaging looks like a bottle of lemonade. If swallowed, it will cause severe injuries."
