Chemical Brothers announce new album, premiere new track

The Chemical Brothers have heralded their eighth studio album with a track revealing a hitherto unexpected baroque pop influence, reminiscent of the Zombies, combined with a delicate Sufan Stevensesque confessional tone. Who are we kidding? Their new track Sometimes I Feel So Deserted is another four-to-the-floor banger, but none the worse for that.

The track is the first to be unveiled from the duo’s upcoming album Born in the Echoes, which will feature an array of special guests, and it was premiered on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show on Thursday night.

“The most important feature of the album is that it connects with us emotionally in some way. We hope for finding a new way to make you feel. We dream of new sounds and different frames. We have worked with some guest singers but mostly the album is pure Chemical Brothers,” Tom Rowlands has said.
