Chemical alert after police uncover 'suspicious substances' in house raid

Chemicals used to produce drugs have been uncovered in a Manchester house. The Metropolitan Police were conducting a European Extradition Warrant at the property on Stockport Road, Levenshulme, on January 31.

Officers uncovered 'suspicious substances' at the property, which were later taken away for analysis. Results have confirmed they were chemicals used in the production of drugs.

Police were spotted in attendance at the property on Wednesday morning, with the entrance taped off as investigations were carried out. The scene remains in place, but there is not thought to be any threat to the wider community. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
